The view of sun rise is really great! I felt good because it’s like a warm welcome from the city. This is my first time to Adelaide, and lucky me to have Joan(cat’s sis) to bring me around. *yEeeYYYYy* Thank you Joan!!!
Journey to the hotel is about 30-45 minutes i guess. I didn’t take note of that because ….what else??! Busy taking photo mahh. *sigh* wish i had a camera with me during that trip.I’m getting it very soon though!!
Oh,the town was kinda quiet because it was on the Easter. Everyone has gone to enjoy their long-weekend break. Good for me though, i don’t have to SHOP.*hahahaha* Well so it was because of Easter, the rooms in Holiday Inn were fully booked. Means, the exhausted us had to wait for the rest to check out one by one. Do you want to know how long we have waited??!! You don’t want to know.
The hotel gave us free breakfast( no, all we needed is a bed to SLEEP). I didn’t eat much during the breakfast because i had so much onboard already. Had few cups of cappucino and had a nice-zombie time hanging with the crew. I decided to eat in the end because i was too stone. For me right, is either a cup of coffee to keep me awake or by EATING . Yup, i know…look at my body size now.
I talked a lot of craps (as usual) with them because if i didn’t i would probably snooring at the table already. After a long-waiting 2 hours, we finally got our rooms. *Wohooooo* All i could think of is BED, oh bed.
I managed to grab 1 hour rest with the “sponge bob square pants ” show on.
While waiting for Joan to pick me up from the hotel i snapped some stupid pictures of myself. Yes, that was to keep myself awake too!*into red lately*
Owner of the Just Tickled Pink
Let me introduce the owner of this lovely shop to you. With me is Kim and the macho one is Geoff. Just Tickled Pink was originally a gifts & decor shop and it is still. The difference by now is they have specialize in cupcakes at the shop. And the theme at the shop is seriously making me feel like living there forever!
Just Tickled Pink
Cupcakes are making a comeback- although ask anyone under eight and they’ll tell you they never went out of fashion.
The trend arguablt started when cupcakes were featured in an episode of Sex And The City. Sydney’s gone quite big on the small cupcakes and now it’s Adelaide turn.
Kim Graetz specialises in cupcakes at her Just Tickled Pink shop at Unley. She says the cup cake size is part of people’s growing nostalgia about comfort foods they grew up with.
“We’ve been to Sydney and it has a lot more tearooms like this with characters whereas Adelaide has so many italians cafes with lots of noise so I’m trying to do something differrent here,”KIm says.
Kim a mother of three, was reading an article in Shop Til You Drop about cupcake trend and decided to work them into her existing giftware business.
Just Tickled Pink is a cafe and gift shop all in one with a pretty pink and white striped theme, Audrey Hepburn prints, nostalgic music, cupcakes and coffee.
“one of my customers who’d just got back from New York came in and said my cafe reminded her of Amy Sedaris’ Dusty Food Cupcakes business in New York which is nice to hear,” she says.
Kim’s cupcake menu include Hyde Park After Eight, My Fair Lady, Lavender Lover, Cookies and Cream and Rose Rendezvous cakes with new ceation every week. You may find lemon meringue, Chanel handbag, popcorn-topped and lace doily patterned cakes. Kim credits her mum Anne with teaching her about cake cooking- Anne also makes intricately decorated English fruit and marzipan cakes for the shop.
Kim plans high tea with cucumber sandwiches, petit fours and glasses of bubbles.
She’s also offering light weekend linches such as cheese and chive frittata with smoked salmon and soups in winter.
*The above i didn’t type myself but i’d copied right from the liftlet i took from the shop*
wish I could be like Audrey Hepbrun, i mean look like her. At least give me her nose! *ahahhaha*

posing time
I love this shop’s decor to death. Maybe in the future i could have a little corner to be decorated like this. And *yeyyy* i had my FIRST sip of champagne at that shop. We had the home made pie which was delicious, and had the cupcakes of course!!! * Cat, you must go to the shop everyday!!!!*
I like their service because it’s a family business. I don’t see any other workers around except for Kim, Geoff and Anee. They would ensure we got the best of everything, and this is lovely!Whoever is going over to Adelaide, must drop by at Just Tickled Pink for once in a life time.
Glenelg Beach
Can I live at the beach in the future? It’s ok i don’t mind to be a victim of Tsunami though because every one has their destiny so maybe my destiny end in the Tsunami disaster. *wait* who say i am living at the beach now? (Dreamer)

OOooOo, i love beaches! I know i have said it here a lot of times. *heee*
